Right after I did the clean install, the monitor blacked out again. Installed a fresh driver through custom install and clean install. So what I've done up til now is used DDU to completely uninstall everything. NVIDIA Control Panel won't start in safe-mode so I have no idea how to delete my profile or settings.
Repeating the steps with my internet disconnected let's me into normal mode since the drivers can't be downloaded. It worked normally for the first minute or so until the computer redownloaded the display driver and my computer blacked-out again. I rebooted the computer into safe mode, deleted the Nvidia display adapter and restarted again. I have my monitor running in picture by picture mode (side by side) by attaching both a DP cable and a HDMI cable which lets me treat the whole screen as 2 separate monitors.Īt one point, I decided to give up on making Surround work so I switched off Surround and now my monitor is a black screen displaying "Out of Range". It messed with the resolutions a bit so I had to change that in the options (in both Display options and the NVIDIA Control Panel). So I was making changes to the Nvidia Control Panel trying to get NVIDIA Surround to work (on an ultrawide monitor).
